Is Drop2Play free to use?
Yes. Browsing games, booking a position, joining a reserve list, and creating a player or organizer profile are all free. Some organizers independently charge their own participation fee for a game (for example, to cover field rental) — that is set entirely by the organizer, not by Drop2Play, so check a game’s description for details.
What sports can I play on Drop2Play?
Soccer, basketball, volleyball, football, cricket, and baseball today, with more sports added as organizers create games for them. Each game shows its sport on its listing, and you can filter by sport when browsing.
Which countries and cities is Drop2Play available in?
Drop2Play started in Calgary and has grown from there. Game discovery and booking are available in 0 countries: . A city gets its own listings once an organizer posts a game there.
How do I choose or change which country I see games in?
Pick a country on the home page the first time you visit — after that, we remember your choice so every visit shows games from that country by default. Signed-in players can change it any time from Profile > Settings > Location; guests can tap "Change" on the home page.
Do I need an account to book a game?
No — you can always book as a guest with just your name, age, and phone number. Creating a free player profile is optional; it saves your info across devices and lets you sign in anywhere instead of retyping it every time.
Can I cancel a booking?
Yes, at any time before the game, from the link in your booking confirmation or from your player profile if you are signed in.
What happens if a game is full?
You can join the reserve list. If a booked player cancels, the next person in line is automatically offered the open spot and has a short window to accept it.
Is there an age limit?
Each game sets its own minimum and maximum age, chosen by its organizer — some games are for adults only, others are organized for kids. The age range for a specific game is shown on its booking form.
How do player ratings work?
After a game, other players who attended can leave you a star rating (1 to 5). Your average carries across every game you play, since your phone number is your player identity on the platform.
What time zone are game times shown in?
Every game shows its own city’s local time with the time zone spelled out (for example, "7:00 PM MDT") — so if you’re browsing a game in a different country than the one you’re in, you’ll always see its real local kickoff time, not your own.
